There are a few fan dubbing groups that have dubbed some dramas, although they rarely seem to dub more than a few episodes. I have listed a few of these, along with their current status, below.

花样男子 （Hana Yori Dango, Japanese version, season 1)- completed up to episode 5 - seems to be abandoned.
胡杨男子 II （Hana Yori Dango,Japanese version, season 2) - currently completed up to episode 9.

涛是一个私生子。在一个雨夜，涛的母亲带着涛来到父亲的家，却被父亲的妻子希坦夫人给逼走，重病在身的母亲禁不住折磨，将自己的戒指给了涛后死了。父亲赶 回家，看到的却是门口的涛和他已死的母亲。涛被父亲带进了这个他不受欢迎的家。唯一对他好的就是邻居家的女儿明达，而其他人，夫人总是折磨他，同父异母的 哥哥宋伟安和明达继母的女儿明宽则总欺负他。终于有一天，涛在被夫人折磨时不慎摔在了跌碎的花瓶碎片上，胸口划了长长的一道疤，明达带他藏了起来，并帮他 上药。涛还是被发现了，为了逃离夫人的鞭打，在逃跑的过程中落水，被他母亲的妹妹曼所救。而夫人以为涛已经被淹死。

I haven't finished watching this drama yet. However, I adore all the bitchy things that Shila's dad's wife says, as well as all the stuff that Shila aunt says. I kinda like the main female lead's character - when it has to do with Shila. she's awesome - but the rest of the time she's more like a whipping girl for her "mother"(She's actually the daughter of her dad's mistress) and half-sister. Bie(Shila) - I think he's pretty hot in this drama, and I love how his character is a pimp. All I can warn you about at this point,  is that there is at least one suicide, lots of cat fights, and a lot of sleazier elements (ie. prostitutes ). But overall, this has to be one of my favourite Thai dramas.

帕莱，她的父母在事故中死亡后，财产和房子都被她的阿姨抢占了。她父母还被诬赖是贪污犯。帕莱为了报仇，找到了希瓦，她堂妹的男朋友。她怀疑希瓦的父亲和 她阿姨一起陷害了她父母。所以她搜集了希瓦父亲过去犯罪的证据，来威胁希瓦同她结婚以便查找父母清白的证据。她告诉他已经将罪证只做成网页放在网上，只有 密码才能登陆。希瓦一开始不相信，但是为了以防万一就只好答应帕莱。后来帕莱就住进了他家，希瓦和她订立合同不让任何人知道，同时他只要做到她满意就可以 得到密码把罪证删除，希瓦当然不愿意就这样被帕莱摆布，总是想方设法想得到帕莱，在两人斗嘴的过程中喜欢上了帕莱。

I personally really liked this drama. It was a bit draggy(Chinese version had 30 episodes, Thai version had 15), and the end seemed a bit rushed. Palai, the female lead was pretty awesome for a Thai drama, she didn't take (much)shit, and some of the things she said were pretty epic. The male lead....well he was okay. I really liked Palai's servant, Ban - she just added a bit of humour to this revenge drama. As for the language used well - I certainly learned lots of vocabulary about revenge, as well as lots of chengyu. If you can't handle male characters who are completely ignorant of peoples' true nature, don't watch this. There is also one rape scene, although you don't really see anything.

Personally, I found this drama pretty easy to understand in Chinese - although be warned, they in Chinese dubbed Thai dramas, there tends to be lots of Chengyu used. I should also warn you- if female leads who don't stand up for themselves piss you off, don't watch this. Finally, I believe there was at least one rape scene in this drama.

The point of this blog

err....Introduction.....ok...I am your average(sorta) Canadian chick. Except that....I am obsessed with the Chinese language and culture. I'm more Asian than most Asians I've met - despite being your average Caucasian. I'm majoring in Linguistics at University....which gives me lots of excuses to watch Taiwanese dramas - they're related to language =P. So anyways, I'm obsessed with Thai dramas (can't get enough of all the bitchy women!) and frequently read/watch/do everything I can possibly do in Mandarin. So....this blog seeks to um....keep a record of my language learning journey. Who knows, maybe this blog will help other learning Mandarin. (Damn, what a boring summary. Note to self: in the future, write a better intro - this sucks)
